This site is my ongoing chronicle of the American Iron Game — a straight line drawn from the European strongmen and circus performers, through Alan Calvert and the Milo Barbell Company, into the Mark Berry era, onward to John Grimek and the York Barbell dynasty under Bob Hoffman, through the unmatched power of Doug Hepburn, and eventually to the modern synthesis shaped by Charles Poliquin.
